Betsy Granville is a spiritual intuitive, channel, and medium. Christine Ramos, RN, CLC, CCM, IBCLC-Retired

Professionally, Christine is an author and maternal-child health Registered Nurse who has worked as a Certified Childbirth Educator, Certified Doula, Certified Case Manager, and an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She has earned two professional degrees. Before becoming an RN, Christine was a social worker for ten years in the mental health field, where she worked therapeutically with people who had mental health and substance abuse challenges.

Ever since she can remember, Christine has been an intuitive empath who can perceive the human energy field. These abilities, combined with her career experiences and education, afford her the insight that addresses the health of our children’s minds, bodies, and souls. This insight led Christine to write “A Journey Into Being. Knowing and Nurturing Our Children As Spirit”, where she masterfully blends science with spirituality regarding all things related to the arrival of new life. Truly a unique work, the manuscript garnered the attention of the late Dolores Cannon, who then published the book through her publishing company in 2006. In 2021 the updated 2nd Edition of “A Journey Into Being” was published. Currently, Christine is an editorial contributor for health, parenting, and spirituality publications worldwide.

In this latest episode, Christine and I delve into the topic of gender fluidity, emphasizing the significance of embracing and honoring our youth for their authentic selves, as they express themselves to us.

I define a ritual as a sacred space or ceremony where joys, fears, and feelings are shared, validated, and embraced using spiritual tools to open the heart and create a sense of belonging, connection, and feeling heard, understood, and loved. A ritual is a celebration of our spiritual lives. Rituals are intended to resonate deeply with the participants, bringing strength and love to carry through life, particularly during challenging times. Used within a family, a ritual can create a sacred and enduring bond.

Kate Adams PhD is an internationally recognized researcher of children’s spirituality. She spent a decade teaching children, where she was deeply inspired by the insights they shared. Their narratives led her to a path of discovery about children’s spiritual worlds, initially through her PhD, which delved into children’s dreams in sleep which they believed had a divine connection. She has explored a range of spiritual aspects of young people’s lives, and her current project focuses on adults’ memories of their childhood imaginary/invisible friends. Throughout her studies, children have often explained that their spiritual experiences and wonderings are regularly dismissed as imagination, or simply ignored. Kate’s work gives voice to them, to help adults understand young people’s inner worlds and appreciate the wisdom they offer us. 

Kate is a Professor of Education in the UK and has published widely on the subject for over two decades through research papers, articles, and books including Unseen Worlds: Looking through the lens of childhood, and The Spiritual Dimension of Childhood. She has served on the Board of Directors for the International Association for the Study of Dreams and as Co-Chair of the International Association for Children’s Spirituality. Kate regularly gives talks on her research around the world, for a range of audiences, all with the aim of bringing children’s experiences into the light. 

In this episode, Kate and I engage in a delightful discussion regarding her captivating research on the spiritual experiences of children and the valuable insights that can be gained from their perspectives.

Rommie is passionate about animal welfare and is driven to change the perceptions around how we can communicate with them so they can be more consciously looked after. Most people that have animals in their care, while very connected to them, are only seeing part of their health and wellbeing picture. Mostly through what they observe, what they think and the things they may already know, but when you communicate from a higher perspective and you have a conversation with them, you are able to see the whole picture. That means, you are able to support them in a way “they” need, not in a way we think they need as you see the truth behind behaviours, psychological and physical problems. She works globally, but lives on the east coast of Australia as an Animal Communicator, Missing Animals Investigator, Medical Intuitive and Animal Energy Healer. Rommie also runs online and in person courses in Animal Communication, Missing Animals Investigation and Intuitive Development. She is also the TV Show Host of the web TV show, the ANIMALS’ TELEVISION show. A show designed to be educational, inspiring and entertaining to help the welfare of all animals domestic and wild. The Executive Producer of one of Australia’s premier FM Breakfast Radio stations has described her as “too normal”. #176 The Magic of a Waldorf Education With Somer Serpe

Somer Serpe was born in the US but grew up overseas as the daughter of two international school educators. After returning to the US, she trained as an artist and as a teacher, earning her BFA degree at Parsons School of Design and her Masters in Waldorf Early Childhood Education at Sunbridge College. Somer taught Nursery and Kindergarten at the Great Barrington Rudolf Steiner School for 15 years before leading the Parent Child Program there. In 2020 she started her own program mentoring parents and teaching outdoor parent-child classes on the campuses of Hawthorne Valley School and Berkshire Waldorf School. Somer’s two daughters are Waldorf Graduates. Somer is the assistant program director and a faculty member at Sound Circle Center for Arts and Anthroposophy and is a Northeast Regional Representative for WECAN. She serves as a mentor for teachers and schools as well as an inspirational coach for parents. She leads workshops and parent education opportunities around the country. Somer enjoys skiing, biodynamic gardening, cooking, puppetry, singing, purposeful work with children and creating healing stories for children and parents.

During this episode, I have a lovely conversation with Somer Serpe regarding the Waldorf school's educational approach, which aims to develop essential qualities in children that encourage them to become resilient and compassionate individuals.

Greetings beautiful humyn, 

My early life experiences included sexual trauma, and a strong protective response that significantly  dimmed my natural connection to spirit and intuitive gifts until late in my 50s. As I awoke from my depression/repression I sought to heal, to discover and align with my higher life purpose. During this journey a friend encouraged me to try psilocybin mushrooms to assist in re-writing my neural pathways. 

Much of my life I functioned as a clinical pharmacist, until I became disenchanted with the monetary focus emphasized by much of “big pharma”.  Seeking another way, I began asking to co-create with the plants, fascinated by authors such as Suzanne Simard (The Mother Tree), Stephen Harrod Buhner (Secret Teachings of Plants), Findhorn garden, festivals like Plants EnChant and chance encounters with amazing humyns like author, herbalist and mycologist Dr. Christopher Hobbs. 

I have felt for some time that the entire plant holds much more pharmacological wisdom and spirit than selected portions or synthesized re-enactments do. I have been sitting with different plant medicines and asking to hear and feel their energy and their messages. I am delighted to say that this is now happening! 

In this amazing space of co-creation with the plants and other beings, I feel myself dropping into the great web of oneness where we all exist in love and peace. It is my greatest desire to facilitate that for other humyns, to support loving intentional harmony and assist in humyn evolution, divinely so.

They then turned to nontraditional approaches—a decision that led them to Peru. It was there they finally began to undergo the immense physical, mental, and emotional changes that allowed them to understand that everything—including the accident—happens for a reason.

The Nazca Lines are a group of pre-Columbian geoglyphs etched into desert sands in southern Peru, the origin of which remains a mystery.

Rick & Beth participated in a powerful ceremony along a double spiral, similar to a labyrinth flowing inward. The idea is to shed your past and your burdens the further you walk in and feel it peel away as you walk back out. When Rick exited the spiral, his hair had turned white.

Spirit has a master plan

In a split second our lives as we knew them died forever. Spirit has helped to heal us, and has put both of us in many different situations where we have been able to help others. Christine Ramos is an author and Maternal-Child Health Registered Nurse who has worked as a Certified Childbirth Educator, Certified Doula, and an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant. She is also a physical empath who can perceive the human energy field. Christine has earned two professional degrees and has worked for the New York City Department of Reproductive Health, major NY hospitals, and her own private practice. Prior to becoming an RN, Christine was a social worker for 10 years in the mental health field. There she worked therapeutically with people who have mental health and substance abuse issues. Currently, Christine is a contributing writer for health, parenting, and spirituality publications worldwide. Her newly revised and updated book, “A Journey Into Being. Knowing And Nurturing Our Children As Spirit” was just re-published in June 2021. Born and raised in New York City, Christine now lives on Long Island, NY with her husband and children.

#161 Don't Stop Believin' With Krista Gorman

Krista Gorman is a Physician Assistant who, only three weeks after graduating as a PA, suffered cardiopulmonary arrest and died while in labor with her daughter.

Krista died as one person and woke up as another. For 10 years afterward, she tried to integrate the lessons she learned during her NDE but wasn’t successful until she experienced “life on life’s terms” to the point where she was unwilling to keep living that way. She understood life was hers for the creation, for the living, with self-love being the framework and Love for all the entire house. Krista actively began to do the things she needed to do in order to create her life the way she wanted it to be, which included creation of Twelve Principles for Daily Living (directly taken from her NDE) which provided the blueprint Krista needed to shape her thoughts, words and deeds each moment of each day, which has become her beautiful life.

Some of her story and the lessons she learned in the afterlife are shared in her self-published book, I Died And Learned How To Live, available on Amazon. Her NDE account is also featured in a book by Dr. Penny Sartori and the late Kelly Walsh titled The Transformative Effects of Near Death Experiences as well as the book Awakened By Death by Karen Swain and Cyrus Kirkpatrick. In 2017 she and her daughter were featured on the program Story Of God With Morgan Freeman on the National Geographic Channel episode titled Heaven And Hell.

Krista is an active member of the International Association for Near-Death Studies (IANDS) and presented at their conferences from 2014-2017, several presentations were with her husband, Ainsley Threadgold, who also had a NDE. She is scheduled to speak in person at the 2022 IANDS conference in Salt Lake City. In addition, Krista speaks both formally and informally to various groups online and in person. Krista earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 1993 and graduated from her Physician Assistant program in 2000. She has been a practicing PA-C ever since.
